Holiday Gift Bags

Each December, Meals On Wheels Tampa, with the support of this community, delivers a holiday gift bag to each of the homebound, elderly, and disabled recipients on our program.  Each holiday bag is filled with a variety of items, such as: books, games, toiletries, calendars, socks, ornaments, healthy snacks, and other special gifts.

For many of the recipients we serve, this will be the only holiday celebration they will have. Many do not have family or friends near and are unable to travel to visit loved ones. This is our way of showing our senior and homebound neighbors that they are thought of and cared for, above and beyond their daily meal. Like food for the body, human contact nourishes the soul. Imagine the joy and happiness this gift provides to the lives of those who are isolated and alone for the holidays.

Volunteers will deliver the Holiday Gift Bags on the 3rd Saturday in December. 

These gift bags are made possible by the many donations received from the community.  Please help us collect items for the gifts bags this holiday season.  Donations for the gift bags may be dropped off at Meals On Wheels of Tampa’s office, 5320 North Boulevard, Tampa, FL 33603.  Volunteer drivers can give contributions to their truck driver or site supervisor at any of the MOWTampa pick-up sites.
