Director, Planned Giving

Meals On Wheels of Tampa (MOWT) is seeking a strategic and relationship-driven Director of Planned Giving to design, launch, and grow a comprehensive planned giving program that sustains and expands our mission: to nourish, enrich, and strengthen the lives of seniors and homebound neighbors.

This role will build a long-term philanthropic pipeline by engaging donors in legacy giving, deepening relationships, and creating pathways for transformational gifts. The Director will serve as both a strategist and frontline fundraiser, working closely with leadership, board members, and professional advisors to secure future resources that ensure the organization’s continued growth and impact.

Skills & Qualifications

5–8+ years of fundraising experience, with demonstrated success in planned giving or major gifts
Proven ability to build and grow a program from strategy through execution
Strong knowledge of planned giving vehicles and donor motivations
Experience working with professional advisors and high-net-worth individuals
Exceptional relationship-building, communication, and storytelling skills
Strategic thinker with the ability to execute tactically
CFRE or advanced planned giving certification preferred

Donor Relations Coordinator

This role provides comprehensive day-to-day administrative support for the development team, with a focus on gift processing, supporting cultivation and stewardship activities, tours, and special events. This position is the staff liaison for the organization’s Ambassador and High School Leadership programs.

Skills & Qualifications

2-4 years of experience in project management or similar administrative role
Data Entry/eTapestry/Raisers Edge/CRM Management Experience
Strong administrative and time management skills.
Excellent communication skills on the phone, in-person, and in writing.
Ability to manage multiple projects independently and meet deadlines.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Outlook
Working knowledge of Canva or Adobe (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator)
Knowledge of mass e-mail communication software is helpful.

Volunteer Specialist

This role provides organization-wide customer service support and serves as a primary point of contact for volunteers and meal recipients. This role ensures a positive experience through professional phone communication (primarily), timely assistance, and effective coordination of services and volunteer activities. This position is directly responsible for ensuring daily meal delivery routes are fully staffed by volunteer drivers through proactive outreach to volunteers within the Meals On Wheels of Tampa volunteer database.

Skills & Qualifications

1-3 years of experience in volunteer scheduling or similar experience
Personable, strong phone and in-person communication skills
Ability to engage diverse groups
Self-starter with the ability to prioritize.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Outlook.

Bilingual helpful (English and Spanish)
High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree preferred.

Homebound Staff Driver – Part Time 

This role will be on call Monday through Friday to deliver meals to homebound recipients when volunteer drivers are not available.

Skills & Qualifications

Must be available (to drive or on call) 9:30AM – 2:00PM daily
Must have and be willing to use personal vehicle
Must maintain a valid Driver’s License, a clean driving record, and proof of auto insurance
