Ambassador Leadership Application
We are now accepting applications for the 2025–2026 Meals On Wheels of Tampa Ambassador Leadership Team, a unique opportunity to grow as a community leader while driving real change for our homebound and senior neighbors in need.
As part of this dynamic team, you will help shape the vision, drive engagement, and build lasting connections, all while promoting a mission that matters. Most roles serve a one-year term, with the Vice Chair committing to a two-year leadership path as they transition into the Chair role the following year.

Take the lead. Be the difference.
Chair:
- Collaborates with the Staff Liaison to plan and execute Ambassador Leadership Team meeting.
- Develops and distributes agendas for Ambassador Leadership Team Meeting and bi-monthly Ambassador Committee meetings.
- Sources and coordinates guest speakers for meetings to support professional development
and engagement. - Invited to attend all Meals On Wheels of Tampa Board of Directors meetings to share Ambassador updates and learn from executive leadership.
- Commits to modeling and upholding the responsibilities outlined in the Ambassador Engagement Agreement.
Vice Chair:
- Plans and organizes 5 social events per program year to foster Ambassador networking and introduce others to the mission of Meals On Wheels of Tampa.
- Works closely with the Staff Liaison for support and guidance throughout the event planning process.
- Assumes the Chair position in the following fiscal year to support leadership continuity.
- Commits to modeling and upholding the responsibilities outlined in the Ambassador Engagement Agreement.
Secretary:
- Records and distributes meeting minutes within five business days of each Ambassador Leadership Team or Committee meeting.
- Sends meeting and event reminders to Ambassadors via the group’s Discord channel to support engagement and participation.
- Commits to modeling and upholding the responsibilities outlined in the Ambassador Engagement Agreement.
Adopt-A-Route Coordinator:
- Coordinates the Ambassador Adopt-A-Route program by ensuring consistent volunteer participation from group members.
- Reports who is assigned to the group’s delivery route or driver vacancies to the Program Manager within three business days of assigned route delivery.
- Communicates any delivery feedback, challenges, and opportunities to the Program Manager to continually improve the Ambassador volunteer experience.
- Attends Adopt-A-Route Coordinator training to ensure full understanding of program expectations and procedures.
- Commits to modeling and upholding the responsibilities outlined in the Ambassador Engagement Agreement.
