Meals On Wheels of Tampa Welcomes Newest Board Member

TAMPA, FL, Monday, September 26, 2016 – Meals On Wheels of Tampa elected a new board member, Christine (“Chris”) Smith, this month.

Chris, Realtor for Tomlin St. Cyr & Associates, was appointed in August, for terms ending in 2019.

Chris earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Mass Communications from the University of South Florida. She is a member of the Public Relations Society of America with an Accreditation in Public Relations (APR). Previously, Chris was Manager, Public Affairs for The Mosaic Company, the world’s leading producer of concentrated phosphate and potash, two of the primary ingredients needed to grow food the world needs. She retired from Mosaic in July 2015 after 23 years of service with the company. Today, Chris is a Realtor for Tomlin St. Cyr & Associates, focused on residential sales in the Greater Tampa Bay area, specifically in Eastern Hillsborough County and the South Shore area.

Chris graduated from Leadership Tampa 2000 and was class chair of Leadership 2005. She has served as board chair of Feeding Tampa Bay, The Greater Riverview Chamber of Commerce, and League of Women Voters of Hillsborough County. Chris is a current member of The Tiger Bay Club of Tampa Bay, Florida Native Plant Society, Valrico FishHawk Chamber of Commerce and Leadership Tampa Alumni. She was the recipient of the 2004 Employee of the Year award at Mosaic, and also received the Excellence in Leadership award from the Propeller Club of Tampa Bay in the same year. Chris is married to Bill Martinson has two children and three grandchildren.
